We've seen a number of fly-by solutions which could help prevent or reduce the damage your Xbox 360 may do when it comes to scratching discs. There is the ZooZen disc protector, the Digital Innovations scratch repair kit and nowe have the D-Skin which when applied to your discs gives extra layers of protection and promises to stop any kind of disc abuse.

Protect your discs the easy way...with Protective Disc Skins® from d_skin®. They protect your DVD, data, video game and music discs from scratches even while they play. Here's how it works:

Snap It On
Just snap a d_skin® onto your favorite discs and consider them protected.

Leave It On
The beauty is, d_skin® stays on your discs even while they play. That's right - your discs are totally readable right through the Skin.

Even While It Plays!TM
Once your discs are skinned, there's nothing to take off or put on when you're playing, storing or transporting. One d_skin® does it all.

Its not something that we as consumers should be fixing as its not us causing the scratching to happen. Microsoft should be the ones fixing or paying for us to fix the issue.

I have a solution: buy a console that doesn't occasionally implode or scratch discs that you put in it.

D-skins were around before the 360 was even released. Can't believe you guys actually printed this as news.

Hell, you can even visit xbox-scene and see info on D-skins in one of the pinned topics. Results weren't very good and I would not recommend anyone use these.

heres some advice for some xbots.stop playing your 360 standing up!!! seems it scratches more games that way and fools still play it that way. i have my 360 since june last year,so i had it for 15 months(knock on wood),so far no RROD and no scratches since i lay it flat!not saying that playing it laying down avoids RROD but i never had scratches on my discs.:p
