Call of Duty 4 goes Gold across ALL Platforms

Call of Duty 4 has gone gold across all platforms and that includes the PS3 version. The confirmation seems to have come from an Infity Ward community manager, with an official press relaese expected to further confirm the gold status.


CoD 4: Modern Warfare is a new action-thriller that will arm gamers with the most advanced and powerful arsenal of modern day firepower to fight a new war in the world’s most treacherous hotspots. Infinity Ward community manager FourTwoZero revealed that the game has reached gold status and has been approved by Sony and Microsoft.

Great news!!!!
to bad the beta is gonna end in 7 days :( play until you puke :) while you can.
This is gonna be a blockbuster title on all platforms. Even pc thats had some crap fps lately.

Oh man, Zues, that picture you posted of COD1 brings back good memories. I remember that part, taking back stalingrad...... COD1 was nothing short of EPIC.... and still to this day is the best WW2 game out there. Plus the United Offensives expansion pack just gave that game even a bigger boost both in MP and SP. COD:United Offensives still boasts the best Multi player out of all the call of duties released thus far.

Lets see if COD4 can live up/surpass what has been done in COD1.

I wholeheartedly agree about the COD 1 comment. That was my first real blockbuster PC game (I'm just 18). I was just learning about stalingrad and had just seen the movie, "Enemy At the Gates". If you know anything about that movie and that scene in the game, you know I was stunned.

COD4 has already bridged the gap for the series between WWII and present and I just can't believe they did it. The beta is just stunning. They really stuck it to the Battlefield series and their transition to present (even future Battlefield 2142 or whatever).

In All the In Game Trailers & Footage of Online Play, Looks Like the Best COD Game Thus Far.............Well Done Infinity Ward for Producing a Non EA Game, Thankfully, if EA had got hold of this, this Would Have Been Half as Good, as it is Now.............Excellent Job :)
