Action replay max.

Hi all, coud I use my action replay to boot backups without a modded ps2 for example if I accidently brake my disc in 2 then cud i play that backup on my ps2?

sorry man not possible, you could use Exploit using a PS1 disc or you could buy SwapMagic, i would use Exploit

It is possible to play backups on a unmodded ps2. With out mod chip or magic swap disk, all you need is action replay max and a usb drive. I just started to do this myself and it works great. All you need is a file called cogswap.elf on your usb drive. then boot up ps2 with action replay max disk. Go to media player, once it starts up just select cogswap.elf. you will need original game with high TOC (table of contents). once cogswap is on you will see ps2dvd in blue letters open disk tray and put original game ( Real ps2 game ) and close tray. Then you will see in yellow ps2dvd, now hit x button. it will read the TOC of disk then change color and say use cogswap. Now the tricky part open disk tray without ps2 knowing you opened it (Slide card trick) put in backup and close the tray and hit x the game should boot up like normal. The only problem I have had with this, is the original game I used didn't have TOC big enough and all I got was a black screen, but I solved this by testing with different games and found manhunt works the best for me so far. haven't run into a backup I can't play :D

So if anything just lookup cogswap on google might be more help, but hope this shows you there is a way to run backups without mod chip or magic swap
