Noob here looking for modding info

Hey guys I am new to the wii mod scene. I am very familiar with xbox modding and now looking at getting familiar with doing the same with the wii. I see that there is a lot of information but not enough stickies to make it very clear.

I would like more information on things that I have heard of such as wiikey, brick blocker, wiifree, etc. are and what they do. If possible I would love to see a simplified list of all of the modchips, breakdown of all the features of each, tools that are used for each, ISO tools, and if there is such a thing information on software mods. I'm not lazy. If I must I will spend the hours on doing all the research. I just thought someone that was knowledgeable on this subject could just spit the information out and then an admin or mod could make it a sticky which would help a lot of the noobs.
