Hi,
Have a Wii here, D2B, missing legs, missing pad.
What did I do :
Grind the chip, connected three wires. And connected one wire to the 5th leg from the right on the chip (to make up for the missing pad).
I already did three Wii's without the legs, but these all had the pad (which is now missing). No problem, all worked first time.
But this one is giving me headaches :)
I tried it three times (soldering and desoldering), but cannot get it to work with my DuoWii chip (which I used for the other installs without problems).
It still plays originals without problems, but no backups.
If there would be a short in the place where I connect the three wires in the chip, originals wouldn't play either, right ? So, assuming that there is no short (the connections are good, even put some hot glue on top), then it's the modchip that is faulty.
Or maybe I'm not using the correct leg for the missing pad ?
Anybody, please enlighten me, I'm about to toss this thing out of the window ;)
