Wiid chip - unable to read the disc - please help!

I've recently fitted a Wiid chip into my Wii and am having problems.
I've tried various brands of media and am having no luck getting anything apart from 'unable to read the disk'. I'm currently on Verbatim DVD-R's.

I've opened the Wii and checked all the solder points and they are all fine. It still boots originals with no problem.

My burner is a Pioneer 111 and I'm using Nero to burn.

Can anyone offer any help please?! I'm at my wits end!

I've just read some other posts about certain main boards having some pins cut off one of the chips... this is what I have.
From what I've read so far, this revision is not modable yet? Is this correct?

I'm assuming this is why I'm getting these errors?!

I believe it can be done, but you should proceed with caution. If yours is even a newer model, then you should wait and see.
