There are no "versions". Some have d2b's with legs cut, some have d2cs. D2b's can be modded if you reconnect the legs, d2c's cant be modded yet.

if I'm not mistaken the cyclowiz has more solder points, an the wiikey would be easier than it to solder.

You just have extra points for the upgrade switch, its no harder or easier than any other chip to install.

personally I would get a cyclowiz the disable option and the open platform, 3rd party firmwares support is nice.
