Problem Upgrading 1.00 Jap to 1.5

hi!, i´ve a 1.0 firmware based psp, and i want to upgrade it to a 1.5 (to make fastloader works and language changing -to spanish-) but when i dl the firmware (i´ve tried from Konsolesektion, This Site, PSPlace, etc..) and i get the same error when i am going to upgrade...

i do all great! (putting a folder named Update with the EBOOT.PBP inside, on the dir ms0:/psp/game/ and it "appears" to work, the icon shows up and i execute it... black screen... memory stick loads... freezes... loads... and if i dont have any UMD on the drive it says "ERROR: COULD NOT LOAD THE GAME (800...)" on the menu of the console, and if i have one umd inserted it simply stops and go to the menu without saying any error...

I can wait to the 1.00 version of the Fastloader... but i prefeer to update it, or simply know that i could update it ! :S

You're probably downloading a 1.5 firmware dump, not a flashable version of the firmware. The firmware dumps are purely for research purposes and cannot be flashed to any PSP, it's just a dump of the PSPs internal memory. I'm sure you can find a flashable version of the Japanese 1.5 firmware somewhere, but I was unable to find it on pspupdates.com.

When you've got it on your memory stick you also need to have over 50% batterypower as well as your PSP DC adaptor plugged in to be even able to perform the update.

Have you named the folder Update or UPDATE? Try UPDATE. If it doesn't work, I don't know :o

found this in the software section of THIS forum(in the sticky). Try this, its supposed to be the japanese 1.5 update(havnt tried myself though)

games like coded arms and namco museum have update folders with eboots in it to update ur psp as well. I think u can use these as well...

I downloaded the firmware from the above link which is also mentioned here:

and it worked great. Got my JPN 1.00 to 1.50 so should work for you too....
