Hi
I remember seeing posts regarding which media is more reliable.
But in terms of long term damage being done to my wii – can i use unbranded DVD-R??
Reason being is that i normally buy cheap printable DVD’s to burn movies etc and have never really had faults.
Also does everyone always verify discs on every wii burn?
Thanks in advance

if you are giong to use unbranded media i highly suggest doing it while runnning the bare minimum programs on your computer. unbranded have a high rage of error so you want to do as much as you can to reduce that. use a good quatlity disc such as verbatim. etc and burn slow also use imgburn then check compared to your iso to see if you got error.

on my games if i sometiems leave a disc in the wii then turn the wii back on after a couple of hours it sounds like gears being stripped so i just take the disc out and put it back in.

I dont think the laser will get messed up but if i were you just to be super safe start the wii up take the game out then put it back in. that way the wii adjusts better to the disc, at least in my case
