Hi,
a friend of mine told me to hurry getting a Wii if i want to set up a modchip in the next time. He stated new revisions of the wii will arrive in europe next month (oct) rendering current modchips incompatible. I'm not sure if he meant hardware or just firmware.

He's just an "average" gamer without any tech/hardware skills nor any background knowledge. He's just a "frontend" user, even without internet access.

I want to hear some more serious words about this issue.
Any truth in it, complete crap or "no-one-can-know" ?

AFAIK the D2C chipset is still not modable. But aren't those already in Europe?

I see.. seems he meant the D2C chipset issue. Regarding other posts they are already in europe replacing D2B very quickly these days.

I'll try to figure out by serial number to get at least a D2B.

Edit: Now I have a LEH12224xxx. Wiitracker tells me its a D2B without cut legs. Doesn't sound that bad. Will have to open it later to make sure.
