Bioshock & Halo 3 lead the US sales charts

A gaming website is claiming that Bioshock and Halo 3 for the Xbox 360 are leading the US software sales charts currently. Despite Halo 3 not even being released yet, they are claiming its pre-orders make it reach the number two spot fighting off Metroid Prime 3 Corruption for the Wii. However, it seems as if their figures are just based off of the Amazon sales charts.


All Formats: No change in the top two this week: creepy underwater shooter BioShock tops the list followed by Halo 3. Four 360 titles make the list, as do three DS games, two Wii titles and BioShock again, this time in PC form.

Untrue. Over the past year the 360 has sold about twice as many games as the Wii. In that same time, however, the 360 has averaged about twice the install base (nintendo was at 0% at launch and now just over 100% compared to the 360, take the average and its about 50% or half that of the 360). So the Wii is selling just about the same number of games per console as the 360.

I just mean overall i believe they will be this gens 3rd place.

Also i aint a fanboy, i just dont happen to like the 360 or MS for that matter, i like Nintendos consoles and the Playstation series.

But i do believe that the PS3 will come into its own and start kicking up some serious sales when another price drop hits and will take over the 360, and since the Wii has already over-took the 360 then i guess we all know whos going to win overall.

The ps3 bottom line has the worst game library, the 360 has the best, the wii is in between. So really if your a true gamer, you would buy the 360 for games and the Wii because it has games but also a nice new control type. But instead your just hating on the 360.

everybody knew the wii was going to top the charts. its 250 has been since launch and is appealing to all age demographics. the ps3 isn't even catching up to any of the other systems so theres no threat for the wii or 360. To have an agenda against ms is childish and can leave you in the dust with exclusive games. I have had nothing but horrible support from the sony camp on my products and there defective tv sets but I still buy there systems because I know that if I want the largest selection of games then I have to have the best of all worlds.

IMO Sony are the most untrustworthy games company ever. They also have no respect for the games developers themselves and everything about the ps3 signifies this. I'm just chiming in to correct this. The only thing I can understand is that Sony was providing something for Nintendo back sometime and Nintendo wanted the big piece of pie(?). "Back then" the PS1 was to be an add-on for the SNES. Nintendo decided that CD technology was not good enough for gaming yet. Sony took the design and released it themselves. Sony is a money hungry company. They are in every market, and got into gaming because of the money involved.
The Wii is not only an epidemic, it's practically on the level of a plague. People can't seem to catch it fast enough.
