Is it at all possible to transfer game saves without buying a program, or any extra hardware like a memory card?

You can't simply burn the files to a disk and run it in the 360 like you can updates can you?

The programs are free its just the hardware you need. i really don't think you can burn them to a disc and run them from there, im afraid to access the hard drive on the Xbox 360 you need some kind of hardware

*if you had a memory unit there are ways for you to connect it to your pc yourself i.e. by taking it apart and attaching wires to it to connect it to a usb port and downloading drivers from to make it work but ready made hardware is so much easier.

wait, the programs are free? Where can I get them at then? I was looking at Xploder.com or whatever it is and it's $20+ to get that... so you're saying if I can get a transfer kit then the software is free?

yeah, i use a datel transfer kit for my memory unit and use the xport360 program if you where going to use an xsata device then xplorer 360 (http://360gamesaves.com/plugins.php?load=Downloads&function=viewcat&catid=5) or xport360 (http://us.codejunkies.com/support_product.asp?c=&cr=&cs=&r=0&l=&g=2&prodID=32) you can use there may be more but i havent tried them. if you need help on installing an xsata device try google, but there may be a guide on this site so its worth checking.

*oh and remember its worth the hassel lol

Sorry but I have so many questions about this sort of thing.

I'm having trouble getting the free software off of 360gamesaves.com I've created an account and I still don't have access to these things and it's been 3 days so far....
