View Full Version : This idea probably wont work, but if it does it could elimate the use of MMD testers.
Someone who doesnt own a MMD, but wants to test their homebrew on it, couldn't they download Datel's Max Media Player app (bootme.nds) from their site, and put it on their card? Seems like it would work, but i know nothing about anything about programming.

i dont think that would work. I have thought about that, too... but the reverse way. I thought about taking the firmware from something more compatible and putting it on my card and booting everything from that. I did some research and it turns out it doesn't work. It's just because of the way that the SLOT-1 card boots everything.

Yes, bootme.nds works on other cards. (I think... hmmm)
It would be stupid for it not to.

yeah it would work... like it would run. But it would not tell us which apps work and don't work for the mmd. It's all about the device you have in slot-1. Correct me if i am wrong.

Loading would be the same. Things that need be named bootme.nds wouldn't work being loaded through it, because that's the bootloader's problem. Roms I wouldn't be sure whehter it's the bootloader or the device itself that's screwed.
So if this does work, people can have datel's firmware on their device for MO... i think i remember hearing it (MO) doesnt work on other devices.
