Ninja Gaiden 2 Confirmed for Xbox 360 [Archive]

Gamespot Korea has confirmed that Ninja Gaiden 2 will be publicly shown at this years Tokyo Hame Show. However, an insider has revealed that a PS3 version of the game has not been confirmed but the game will be shown for the 360 at TGS. It is rumored that the Ninja Gaiden 2 will be a timed exclusive on the Xbox 360 due to the potential sales effect the title will have on the Xbox 360 in Japan.

How can Ninja Gaiden 2 be a 360 exclusive even though it came out for the NES a long time ago? Not to mention it can easily be played on a (modded) PSP, DS, PS1, PS2, or original Xbox.

Considering the PS3 version sold nearly the same amount of units as the original xbox version I'd say Ninja Gaiden 2 will be on the PS3 also unless MS pulled a money hat. Ikaragi or whoever already said he wants to make the 2nd one on the PS3 also.
I guess according to your logic then MGS4 is gonna be on the 360 right?

I don't care about either game but people don't even believe in their own logic if the 360 is benefiting.

I just cant garner any enthusiasm for yet another Ninja Gaiden or DoA game, frankly just the fact that its anotehr cartoony sequel of a Tecmo game puts it on my "I'd rather be forced to buy Vampire Rain" list. Did I mention how much I loathe fighting games?

everyone already knew it was going to make it to the 360 platform. It will make it to PS3. Feel bad for those who thought a game like this has exclusivity to a specific console. You all still don't seem to understand what ps3 is capable of when compared to 360 and once again that's the main reason why MGS4 won't see the light of day on the 360.

It'll probably go the same way as the orignal ninja gaiden, it will be exclusive to xbox for a year or so then ps3 will get it a year or so down the road. Sony always gets 360's sloppy seconds ;).

Apparently Konami realized it has **** for sales because they canceled MGS3 Substance production once MGS2 didn't move on the box.

Actually "Nik255" is right ! Ninja Gaiden II: The Dark Sword of Chaos Came out in 1990 for NEs and PC . So people keep your sucking fanboy comments for your self, im getting tired to read the same sh1t over and over again.

So did Ninja Gaiden I in 1986 or so, but there was also a Ninja Gaiden on the atari lynx, on one of the sega consoles (can't remember which one), and before all those there was an arcade game.... I don't remember it coming to PC though. Anyways, back on topic, as far as Japan goes Trusty Bell or any other rpg would probably have a bigger impact then Ninja Gaiden II, and state side by the time it is out I doubt it will have a big impact on 360 sales. It will probably sell like crazy, but it won't help system sales.

Let me come up to an anology: if Ninja Gaiden would sell great on the PS3 (RPG oriented console) then MGS4 should sell great on XBOX 360(FPS oriented console). I still haven't seen the source for MGS2 selling bad on the XBOX either. Most of the sales for this game actually comes from Europe and USA so it would definitly sell well.

Once again couldn't care less but it's annoying to see people shooting down MGS4 on the XBOX 360 soo fast while the "XBOT" could'net give a sh!t about Ninja Gaiden going to the PS3.

If Ninja Gaiden becomes a time exclusive then why wouldn't MGS4? Why are you guys such losers and care soo much.

Ninja Gaiden (The 3D version ffs) was a last gen exclusive for the Xbox (1). NO timed exclusive. Sigma is a remake made for the PS3 by a different team than Ninja Gaiden /Black was. However Team Ninja favoured the Xbox because it was more powerful than the PS2... and Itagaki didn't like Sony back then for whatever reasons he had...
Now times have changed and sony could get a port of NG2... althou I don't really believe in it.

Oh and there was to be a port of MGS3 to the xbox, but it was scrapped due to poor sales on PS2(something like that).

Metal Gear Solid 3 sold over 3 million copies..

Konami or Hideo Kojima never ever anounced an Xbox port period..it was always a PS2 exclusive (http://gamespot.com/news/6027448.html?tag=result;title;5)

From what I can tell MGS 2 did sell averagely on Xbox - it didn't even break into the charts in the UK at the time (no idea about North America), and sold terribly in Japan due to the tiny Xbox installed base.

i never understood why the original was such a huge hit on the xbox. but it was a good game with beautiful graphics. thats all it was to me. albeit though. anyhow, ill get this on too.

Well just like MGS4 could see the light of day on the 360 this has a very good chance of getting ported in a few months time. Sigma is apparently selling rather well, at least that's the impression I'm getting, so I figure just how better would the game sell if most ps3 owners hadn't played it; unlike the case with sigma where a lot, if not most, ps3 owners have played it.

360 needs a japaneese seller if they want global domination. They are getting pounded in Japan on sales.

I think they should pull out of japan entirely and focus their time and effort on europe and the americas. No point in wasting time, money and resources on a region that is not going to have any interest in you. Honestly MS could buy Sega, SquareEnix and Konami and it still wouldnt sell over there so why bother?

What? That's where your completely wrong, the original was never a huge hit on the Xbox, that game never even made Platinum hits...... quite obvious really. Yet again proving that REALLY AWESOME games will not always sell as much. I guess all the Xbots were busy getting off to the likes of HALO..... their obvious rendition of "THE BEST GAME EVAAAAAARRRR!!!!!"

I really dont like downing the PS3 because its a really nice bit of kit but I hate Sony with a passion and its got nothing to do with consoles at all and everything to do with their customer service and a certain £1300 Sony TV that I once owned.......

well atleast i wasnt the only one who had horrible experience with sony customer support for there tv line. After just a few days from its manufacturing warranty sony didnt want to have any part with helping me fix the thing. there "its past the warranty" bs costed me 850 for another new tv. Back to the topic though, everyone thats acting surprised about the 360 announcement should have seen this coming. The man himself favors the 360 so once he's done with it he'll hand it off to another team to do the port.

i believe his distate for Sony was due to the fact they didnt pamper him as well as MS did however that was last gen when MS needed some japanese labels under their belt now im sure MS has moved on to conquesting other developers.

finished? hardly there my little fanboy. the 360 obviously doesnt need Japan to survive even the PS3 makes more sales elsewhere. Japan may have been a big market back in the day when it mattered and when all consoles where japanese born. Grape has a point MS doesnt need Japan they have already proven to be overly loyalist to their products (as are fanboys like you), its a waiste of time and resources to even bother with japan since in the end as region these days they arent worth it and since all the titles that make the 360 popular are american/european based ide say japan is over rated for any 360 owner. also it doesnt look good for MS to make bad sales over there its basically automatic bad publicity.

Sony got the starwars dvd treatment they got Ninja Gaiden 1 the remake remastered uncut version with 1 extra pair of breasts. im still wondering how they thought ppl would take a blonde ninja in japan seriously its like a cheesy porn based on very badly gathered info.
