View Full Version : Gamestop/EB Games no longer accepting Bioshock LE Pre-orders

Leading gaming retailer Gamestop/EB has stopped taking pre-orders for BioShock LE on the Xbox 360. A number of theories are being thrown about regarding this ranging from the logical reason of not having enough to cope with demand to Gamestop finding broken figurines in some of the boxes. The news comes straight out of Evil Avatar forums.

My theory is they usually stop taking pre-orders before the release of the game.
My figurine better not be broken or I will have to punch a puppy in the face.

you see whats realy happened is the owner of gamestop has been taken over by someone dressed as a dodgy diver, he said that he didnt want to be defeted :rolleyes:

that is what Limited Edition stands for. It's not Collector's Edition you know

im like 10 hours in and its amazing. And im gonna play through it until I have all the achievements, I guess im like halfway through but im nower near bored. I cudnt put it down today...I may buy the limited one if I can get hold of it for the figure.

This game is the one of if not the best game I ever played. Fanboy or not everyone must buy this game. We need more games like this. Absolutely the most polished game in all aspects. JUST BUY IT!!! TRUST ME IT'S MONEY WELL SPENT!!!

Umm, the game shipped last Wednesday. Most stores got them by Friday, counted how many extra LE they had, and only took that many more pre-orders for them.

All damaged figurines will be replaced by 2k they have been told.

Because many times they are shipped extra copies, much like the regular edition of Bioshock can still be pre-ordered, despite already arriving in stores.

well, i bought it at my toys r us, made a back up, and play that. dont feel like getting the original scratched:rolleyes:

It has been in stores for a while if you know people who work at a store its rather easy to get an early copy.

burning games aint illegal m8 is it if u own the orig?

even if u download the game but own the orig as some of us dont rip out origs we download them? is that still illegal?

fingers crossed for a LE i never pre-ordered

he did say he was waiting for the pc leak, which would suggest he was going to pirate it. Saying your going to burn a copy and get a pc leak are 2 different things.

He said he wanted the leaked pc version, that's pretty clear piracy. It is illegal to download a game even if you own the original, at least for these boards. Zeus made it perfectly clear to me that talking about downloading games in ANY way is against the rules so that's what I go by. I already have him on the watch list so if he continues to post the way he does and doesn't contribute to the forums then he will be banned.

He never said "I'm burning a copy that I downloaded off the internet" or "I can't wait for a leak of the 360 version". Backing up games you own isn't illegal, downloading is.

Yet hacking consoles is perfectly fine and legal.......oh I SEE NOW..... that is why you guys even have a forum dedicated for that.......

What you do with your hardware is your business, but yes there is a difference, I have a psp for instance that I run a firmware hack on, but I have never loaded an iso on it, I do however run tons of homebrew software and a few emulators (ive got over 100 snes cartridges and almost 200 nes ones its much more practical to have them all on a memory stick than to keep a half working 20 year old console hooked up to the tv).
