All signs point to 50 Euro's Xbox 360 price cut in Europe

Two sources have indicated that the Xbox 360 is to receive a price cut within Europe. The new price for the Premium will be 349 euro's instead of 399, and the core will retail for 279 euro's as opposed to 299 euro's. Interestingly, the Elite is launching in Europe on the same day as the proposed price cuts - August 24th. The following image shows a leaflet which French retailer Carrefour have been distributing with the second confirmation coming from German based 'n-TV' who say there will be a 50 euro Premium price drop with official confirmation coming on Wednesday from Leipzig.

Are you ill? In July the 360 had major publicity over the 3rod issue and the warranty extension and the ps3 had a $100 price drop, yet the ps3 only managed to outsell the 360 by less than 25,000 consoles. Have you looked at amazon and stats tracking sites since the measley $50 price drop on the 360...they have flipped back over.

Let me correct the mistake you made, I think what you ment to say is taht "there are no good titles this year and that years after and beyond theres some good game announcements"

Also, Halo isn't the only stand out game. also go bioshock which is rated way higher than anything on ps3 will ever be, pgr4, extra content for gta when that comes out, gears of war. all game that we have this year. what can you say for PS3? Also, if the developers thought that xbox was gonna die out they wouldn't be making it a higher priority than ps3 for multiconsole games. take your fanboism somewhere else.

Weird, most of the places in Finland have been selling 360 (premium) for months for 349 euros. Well, I guess it'll bring it down to 300 euros (that makes the PS3 over twice the price) :D

Warhawk
Heavenly Sword
Lair
Folklore
UT3
Haze
R&C ToD
Uncharted
Tekken: DR Online (talk about VF5 having a lag fest with the "superior" xbox live:rolleyes: AM2 better get on it or else Namco once again pwned them for what they started)
i will add Home just for the heck of it.

the rest are multi platform and just like 360, they will see the light of day on the PS3 platform. STOP DENYING.:D

Mass Effect will come to the PC just like Jade Empire with FLAWLESS FPS. Btw, PC is getting Viva Pinata, what more reasons can i state that 360 is just a worthless piece of feces. I actually fear that console everytime my cousin powers it on hoping to not acquire the RROD. Console overheats are unacceptable and as for GTA exclusive episodic content, i could care less b/c PS3 will obviously look better and since Sony is the only platform allowing custom mods, who knows, maybe there will be cross multiplayer platform with PC & PS3 but i won't hold my breath on that:rolleyes:. i will eventually get it for PC just like the rest of the GTA Series.

This whole "PS3 has no games" is long overdue. Go get a PS3 and sell that other dreadful console before it disintegrates.

Well, the biggest norwegian electronics shop in Norway have lowered the price on a 360 with 66 dollars.

I believe other shops in Norway are going to do the same very soon.

There's a 360 dry in Norway now, all the shops is waiting for new shipments. I think Microsoft is shipping out consoles with the new cooling system to avoid more defective 360's to be sold.
