A blog called 'Disposablemedia' is claiming that a trusted Microsoft insider has confirmed to them that the UK will receive an official Xbox 360 price cut on August 24th. It is stated that the new price of the SKUs will be £179.99 (Core, same price as Wii), Premium (£249.99) and the Elite will be priced at £299.99.


We've just been contacted by a trusted Microsoft insider with exclusive news that the Microsoft Xbox will be at a new recommended retail price from Friday August 24, 2007.

The new prices are:

Core £179.99
Premium £249.99
Elite £299.99

Thats expensive Oo ... the XBOX 360 costs "only" 340€ here in germany, without any pricedrop.

Seems pretty comparable to me.

not exactly a big price drop most online uk retailers offered the core at £190 were as all UK shops it was at £200

not exactly a big incentive basically they nocked £20 off each package wuppty doo

I'm not sure about the elite price, I mean why would they drop the price on the release date?

Useless to deny, the 360 to the moment is the console that goes worse of everybody, the cut could be an incentive to the purchase.

Even if the 360 is convinced, continuing in this way, it will end with to stay completely.
