According to internet reports, Chart Track figures for the UK region have been 'leaked' on the web and they reveal that 1,193,008 Xbox 360 units have been sold since the console launched in November 2005. Further to this, it was revealed that 618,278 Wii's have been sold and 281,977 PS3's have been sold in the region. A slight cause for concern for the PS3 is that it sold 165,000 units during its opening week which means that only 116,977 units were sold during a period of three months after its launch.

Official Chart-Track figures for the UK from last June have been leaked on the web, revealing that more than 1.1 million Xbox 360s have been sold since it launched back in November 2005.

Said figures, rumoured to have originally been posted on the NeoGAF Forums, today featured on GameCentral's pages on Teletext on Channel 4, and refer to total hardware sales for the three next-gen systems in the UK up until June this year.

According to the figures, 1,193,088 Xbox 360s had been sold in the UK at that point, compared to 618,278 Wiis and just 281,977 PlayStation 3s.

Is there anywhere in the world where people dont love the wii? I guess price does matter! Now if they would just release some games worth a crap.

using those numbers and breaking it down per month and assuming the cutoff is late June you get:

360: 60k (19 months)
Wii: 88k (7 months)
PS3: 94k (39k if you ignore the first week)

To compare to VGChartz as of July 1st they list them as
360 - 1,208,195
PS3 - 307,544
Wii - 737,335

So they did a VERY good job with the 360, and the PS3 both are close but a little high. The ops of the site do say they want to be a little high compared to the official companies since they believe they under track a little. The Wii though is very high by around 120k units.

I guess price does matter!

That's it, it never was the other way.

You know, money doesn't hang down the trees and on the streets you find not that much.

the ps3 isnt selling well over here at all, there are bundles including 4 games for £400 and they cant shift them. Wiis are going fast and so are the 360s. I dont no wether I posted this before but at my local HMV the guy said every week they sell there allotment of wiis and nearly sell all of the 360s, but they struggly with the ps3. They only sell a few in a week.

And they are the most returned console in a while, people have been returning them for trade ins with wiis and 360s. You can see quite a few pre owned ps3s around manchester.

I was in game last night and was struck by the amount of pre-owned PS3s
There were 6 of them plus a whole load of pre-owned games. About the same amount of 360 gamers.

There were 2 pre-owned 360s

I asked about a pre-owned wii and the guy just laughed...

I want all formats to succeed because it keeps everyone on their toes but the PS3 is starting to remind me more and more of the 3DO or Neo Geo.
