Change the Hookboot icon to the icon-background with movie and sound for Ridge Racer

THIS IS, IF YOU HAVE RENAMED THE HOOKBOOT? OR WHATEVER DIR U NAMED IT WHERE U UPLOADED THE HOOKBOOT FILES TO WITH KXEXPLOIT ( OR WHATEVER U USED) ALSO THIS WAS DONE ON A 1.50 FIRMWARE PSP

\PSP\GAME\RIDGERACERS\UMD0\UMD_DATE.BIN
\PSP\GAME\RIDGERACERS%\EBOOT.PBP (THIS is the EBOOT.PBP you need)


Needed:
--------

PBP-Unpacker-0.94-setup.exe (installer)
EBOOT.PBP from your RIDGERACERS% dir (its the only file there is)
PIC0.PNG (find it in \PSP\GAME\RIDGERACERS\UMD0\PSP_GAME)
PIC1.PNG (find it in \PSP\GAME\RIDGERACERS\UMD0\PSP_GAME)
ICON0.PNG (find it in \PSP\GAME\RIDGERACERS\UMD0\PSP_GAME)
ICON1.PMF (find it in \PSP\GAME\RIDGERACERS\UMD0\PSP_GAME)
SND0.AT3 (find it in \PSP\GAME\RIDGERACERS\UMD0\PSP_GAME)

How To
--------
Install PBP unpacker
Make a Folder on your HD (for example: C:\PSP_RR
Copy EBOOT.PBP from \PSP\GAME\RIDGERACERS% to C:\PSP_RR
Copy PIC0.PNG from \PSP\GAME\RIDGERACERS\UMD0\PSP_GAME to C:\PSP_RR
Copy PIC1.PNG from \PSP\GAME\RIDGERACERS\UMD0\PSP_GAME to C:\PSP_RR
Copy ICON0.PNG from \PSP\GAME\RIDGERACERS\UMD0\PSP_GAME to C:\PSP_RR
Copy ICON1.PMF from \PSP\GAME\RIDGERACERS\UMD0\PSP_GAME to C:\PSP_RR
Copy SND0.AT3 from \PSP\GAME\RIDGERACERS\UMD0\PSP_GAME to C:\PSP_RR

Start PBP unpacker
Click on the "OPEN" button
Choose the EBOOT.PBP from C:\PSP_RR
Double Click on the PARAM.SFO name (in the lowest frame)( New window should pop-up)

Double Click on Title (New window should pop-up)
In the "DATA (11)" change anything to RIDGE RACER and hit return

Now you should see as title RIDGE RACER
Hit the Save button

Now you come in a window where you can add stuff (in every little frame you should see an push icon with tree ... in it)

hit the ... button for icon1.pmf
Choose "ICON1.PMF" from the C:\PSP_RR dir

hit the ... button for pic1.png
Choose "PIC1.PNG" from the C:\PSP_RR dir

hit the ... button pic0.png
Choose "PIC0.PNG" from the C:\PSP_RR dir

hit the ... button for icon0.png
Choose "ICON0.PNG" from the C:\PSP_RR dir

hit the ... button for snd0.at3
Choose "SND0.AT3" from the C:\PSP_RR dir

Now hit the "SAVE" button on top
Overwrite the existing "EBOOT.PBP" in your C:\PSP_RR dir
(EBOOT.PBP is now around 547kb instead of the original 21kb)

Connect your PSP
Copy your "EBOOT.PBP" from the C:\PSP_RR dir to \PSP\GAME\RIDGERACERS% Overwriting the one that is there (it's the only file in that dir)

Have fun with your orignal Ridge Racer Icon with Animated Icon and sound and original Background

Wouldn't it be easier to use PSP Brew 0.53 to modify the PBP file?

Yeah, PSP Brew is by far the easiest and best way to modify PBP file appearance as you don't need to unpack/extract the PBP and then put it all together again just to change the background and stuff.

i ve got two problems

first
i dont have ridgeracers% so i dont have *.pbp file= btw i used dos file to create pbp but nothing created.

second;
how to hide corrupted which exist because of "psp/game/ridgeracers"

hmm, this doesnt work on the psp version 2.71, right ? or it can be worked ?
