I'd like to know if anyone that has a cyclowiz in the Wii, and has the latest firmware for that chip, *3.50 I believe* has anyone after that, went to the shop channel, and downloaded the new nintendo firmware??

I like looking around the virtual console, but I don't want to get bricked.

Thank You for your time.

Go for it man, the only thing it will do is block the more blatant non-official discs ie config and AR.

Everything else will be fine.

It's about time someone talked about the Cyclowiz.

Mine = V2 F3.5

I was gonna go with the cyclowiz but it's an expensive chip.

I updated my wii(cyclowiz 3.0) tonight. runs exactly as before.

It is illegal for ninty to disable wii with a firmware update just because you have a mod chip.

Also, it is next to impossible to detect a drive chip as it injects code external to the wii mobo. If they were able to detect a back-up/copied game using the wii mobo they could probably stop you playing them that way.

The 3.0 update puts a message on screen to scare you. Nice tactic. got everyone talking. However time will tell if future updates will do this.

so cyclowiz = fine and dandy

best modchip in my opinion.
