How to start Import GC Games with Firmware 3.0?

Hello Community,

first, i'm new here, so thanks for having this forum.

Since i updated my wiikey modded Wii to firmware 3.0 i can't play my importet games anymore. Before the update i used the Freeloader, which, as most people here know, doesn't work anymore and won't anytime soon.

I guess many like me are in the same situation needing a new way to boot those games. So i've read about GCOS, which appears to get the thing working.

Now i ask if anyone can give a simple step-by-step howto? I got confused already, since i downloaded a 1.5 version and found e.g. a 3.0 version somewhere else. It might be useful for many people out there to know:

- where to get the right GCOS version
- how do i create a ISO image of GCOS to burn on a dvd
- do i have to include the games on the dvd or can i just burn GCOS and start the game from its original disc?

Well, i would be glad if anyone could help me out here.

A Wiikey console will autoboot most foreign GC titles anyway.

I had to GCOS my US Killer 7 for a PAL wii but that's the only one I've had an issue with and most of my GC games are American.

Well, my US Pikmin2 does not boot. It did, with Freeloader..

OK yeah just run one of the modified config discs which were posted on a thread here the other day and then you can disc swap from there and it should be fine.

Is your wii PAL ?
