Hey guys,

Is there anyone here who is playing games with the loader on a 1.0 firmware machine?

I tried the WAB 2.5B loader and stuff but it is not working, and the fun part is i am trying to play my ORIGINAL UMD games like puzzle bobble and so on from the memorystick to save battery!!

Could someone be nice and tell me how to do it or point me in a good direction where i can find the infos?

Otherwise i see no other option than to update to 1.5Fw

Thanks!

I have heard from many users thats they had problems when using firmware 1.0. You can update to 1.5 without problems. Homebrew appz and emulators will still work and u have a mp3 player option.

For the love of god don't listen to this guy. There is absolutely no reason for you to upgrade the firmware on your system. Many homebrew releases come premade for kxploit for 1.50 firmware. All you have to do is combine the two eboots with a pbp editor like PSP Brew. It's not hard, takes like 15 sec. to do. If a release has an eboot for 1.0 firmware only all the 1.50 users have to convert it to work with kxploit, so don't think you're somehow helping yourself or making things easier by upgrading. Please, lets not try to cut down the number of 1.0 PSP's out there! If you really want a 1.50 one I'd recommend putting your 1.0 on sale on ebay first and see if anybody is interested, I'm sure somebody would even pay full price for a used one.

Oh and cubenoob, did you really expect there to be no mp3 playback in firwmare 1.0?
The PSP browser features are completely identical in all firmwares.

It was my pleasure :)
You can download PSP Brew here (http://files.pspupdates.com/cgi-bin/cfiles.cgi?0,0,0,0,40,548) as well as see its feature list. Good luck.

Yes I can remember writing my post late at night and I didnt think about the mp3 player already implemented. Sorry for that misinformation. But there is no sense at all arguing over which firmware to use. I´m not talking anyone into upgrading or not. Just wanted to say that there are no harms at all if you upgrade.
