I've just ordered a DS and a supercard bundle with a superkey. It should be here in a few days, but after a lot of reading around there's one thing confusing me. Is there any benefit of using FlashMe if you have a Supercard?

If I buy a Supercard and Superkey, will I still need an original DS game and a passme device to install FlashMe?

Thanks for any insight.

If you have a slot-2 Supercard, FlashMe will remove the need to use the Superkey to boot it into DS mode, so you don't have to carry it around with you everywhere. You do need the Superkey to install FlashMe in the first place however. After installation, the DS will automatically boot the Supercard in DS mode without needing anything in slot-1. I use it myself with my Supercard miniSD and love it.

Also you can get rid of the health and safety warning screen, which is nice.

Thanks for replying. :)

I might as well go for it then and free up a slot.

There's just one more thing:

If I'm buy a Supercard and Superkey, will I still need a passme device and an original DS game to install FlashMe?

No, the passme and the Superkey do pretty much the same thing.

Think of the Superkey as an uber-PassMe or something. PassMe devices only work on older DS Phats, while PassMe2 works on all DS systems but not all homebrew devices. NoPass devices work on all DS systems and all homebrew devices. The Superkey is all you will need to install FlashMe
