Wiikey install...

Today I received my new wiikey in the mail, and i took apart my wii, and to my surprise my pinout on my drive doesnt look like what i can find in any tutorial... ummm do i have a new drive or something? I bought my wii roughly a week or so ago... when i lay my wii key ontop of the pins, pin for pin #3 is missing... does anyone know what to do? Thanks in advance

yea thats the point my wii is missing aswell... But after reading that threa i honestly didnt really understand where I am supposed to connect that 2... It said something like the 5th leg of the DVD chip? can some one circle that for me in a picture?

so i guess from my understanding i have to connect wires to the pins that are cut off on the dvd chip? Thats just insane... is there another way to do it? Or does another chip have an easier install for this? because I definately do not have the skills to do this, I would be willing to maybe pay someone locally to install it for me
