Here, those who have the wiid can share their successful or unsuccessful stories when updating to Wii firmware 3.0. Be it NTSC, PAL or JAP console

ignore him...he's just irritated cause wiikey hasnt recieved an update.

anyways

confirmed working on wiid ntsc with 3.0u update.

backups- all regions- tested strikers pal, and various ntsc
did not test online but that should not be a problem.

gcos with various gamecube backups- worked fine

could not test action replay,etc. but they should follow the general rule (in that they no longer work)

other than that, everything seems the same.

Upgraded from 2.2e to 3.0e (UK)
Wiid chip
Everything works fine -

Wii backups work, (PAL tested only)
NGC backups work,
Online ranked match on Mario Soccer worked (original version)

The wiid firmware update disk may even work - it spins in the machine and does the usual 'disk cannot be read error' (which used to confirm the firmware had been updated!)
