Hello,

i just read that the new update will disable the new Wii compatible Action Replay. Is there any way to boot it up? At this time I don't have a Modchip, but if a Modchip will enable to use it again, than I will probably buy one soon.

(I hate this, at the moment I have to boot up the "new" AR in order to freeload the old one. And only to enter new cheats...)

Was that GC Swap trick thing ever patched ?

Well yes, since 3.0 can't boot up the latest action replay.

Nope, 3.0 has removed any option for people without a modchip to run anything but official nintendo stuff..

I registered just to check this stuff out!

Is there any other way to boot the Action Replay disc?
I have one from kkwarez ? .. I don't know if that matters or not.

How about a GCOS multiboot disc? will it work that way?
I'm really bummed out, I wanted to use it for some older games.

I've played Zelda Ocarina of Time many times, and I got my hands on the Collectors Edition, and I read that there are codes for it through Action Replay.

.. It seems I won't be using them.. and I also purchased a new memorycard just for it.. god..

If anyone knows how to boot this baby up, please post it here.! :D

Btw.. Nice to meet you all.

I'm sorry to tell you but if you don't have a modchip there is no way at all to boot anything anymore :(

there is no way to boot with gcos and action replay.
The problem is that gcos will boot the action replay... but after that action replay needs to open the drive (normal on gamecube) and switch to another disk. From that point it : your wii will be reset.

So if you want to use action replay.... dont upgrade !

This is not true. I booted off my GCOS disc last night, then inserted my Action Replay disc when prompted. I was then able to select the cheats that I wanted for Metroid Prime and hit swap the discs again. The Wii did not reset on me when I did this.
