hey guys,
i've succesfully made a few n64 games to work on my wii with make-multi game but i have problems loading saved data for super mario 64. im pretty sure i've read some where that mario64 works perfect with save function. when i first load the game it creates a save slote on my gc memory card and it saves fine when im playing. when i finish playing and turn the game off, then back on the save slote is still on my memory card but when i load the mario64 it doesnt load the saved data for that game.

Is there anyway of fixing this? have you guys had the same problem?

any suggestions would be awsome

I don't think a regular memory card will do you any good with homebrew apps (like the emulator). You'll need an sd gecko to save with these kinds of games and other homebrew.

I am thinking to do the same thing. I Just have couple questions to ask you. Can I burn the N64 games on a CD instead of DVD disc? What size is your ISO file?

i dont think the wii can read cd's, can they? im using verbatim dvd-r & dvd+rw which work perfectly. my files are around the 220mb mark(4 n64 roms).

What about an original 'nintendo' memory card? does the sd gecko method work?

i thought it was just the application that was playing up. im using that 'exp-n64v2' method were you replace the zelda file with your own rom

Ok i have figured out how to save mario64 atleast once on the wii, with a gc memory card. when you first load the game, itl ask you if you want to create a save slote or it, you hit no. as your playing, everytime it ask you to save just hit 'continue without saving'. do this until you want to stop playing. then on your last star that you got, when it asks you to save, you say yes and that should be saved for next time you wana play. I've been trying different ways to save a second time but i havnt had any luck.

I cant find the sd gecko 4sale anywhere in NZ so i dont think il be geting one.

If anyone else has any other ideas about saving data, just let us know.
