i am fairly decent at solidering but i have an asian guy i work with who is really good at it.
I want to mod my wii so i can play back ups so i need know what chip is the easiest to install and which chip is the more reliable chip?
thanks in advance
there really isnt one modchip that stands out from the rest when it comes to soldering it onto the Wii's DVD drive. Most if not all modchips have close to the same soldering points you need to wire the modchip to or directly solder the chip onto the wii's board.
most popular chips would be there are plenty of chips out there a bit of searching will help you out a lot.. popular ones would be wiikey/wiinja or you can go the open source route with yaosm/wiifree

wiifree / wiikey / cyclowiiz. upto you.
i`d suggest opensource though, wiifree is probably best, and YAOSM is good also .
