I think its great, although it might spell doom for the PSP as the way of the DC. All in all I fully support it and mean no negativity to its release in any way.

This is truely a great moment. I look forward to hearing more about this.
Congradulations, Team Xecuter.
I doubt that this will spell doom for the PSP. Look at the xbox scene. It has been hacked by modchips almost since day one and it is still alive and kicking. I think it will only be a small handful of people that will utilize this sort of feature. Not enought to really kill it. Not to mention what they mention about alternative storage possibilites. Not having to use the expensive Duo cards would be nice.
Peace.

ok look's nothing special here tbh well ok the dev board :) with xlink And maybe 12c508 or eeprom inline.
here is what i can gather from the picture ok top left look's like we have a bog standard usb memory stick name youe size for extra memory in other word's they use it to replace the piss poor memory on ms's.
main pcb with secure digital card now this look's intresting i would its not xecuter built but already existing hardware hacked up, maybe a sandisk media interface used to veiw digital camera pictures on your tv and also network capable to stream pictures from your laptop pc etc like i say standard but hacked hardware.
the next intresting peice of equipment the dev board an XLINX POWERED DEV board ok the nice thing about these ic's is the ability to program them via jtag search jtag in google you will get the idea can be programmed in situe what i think this device does or should i say the code on it, emulates or exploits MAGICGATEtm to allow different flash memory to be seen as well memory duh, such as sd compact flash etc and act as a host for usb hdd support.
it's my beleif that xecuter have found out the protocol to talk to the psp firmware if indeed they can downgrade like stated.
the network part is either A used to ftp direct to the extra flash memory or b talk directly the DEV BOARD which inturn talk's protocol aka psp talk.
hmmmmmm now down to the last part how the hell do you fit one of them ms extentions int he psp without stripping it we either have a bit of the puzzle missing or xecuter plays with there psp's open :)
ok all the above is speculation so if you would like to add or correct anything feel free to do so im just putting down what im getting from this picture and from my limited but always improving knowledge of the psp hardware.

Very nice. GJ entity, I was thinking more or less along the same lines. I'm sure its only a dev board and they will miniturize this once they work out the bugs and have some kind of glue or velcro or some other means to get it to stay on the psp to keep it usable. Also, a bit off topic, but if this comes out, you should be able to use an ipod with it. In order to do it, you will need to set the ipod to disc mode by restarting it then holding a certain combo of buttons (different for each model). You can find out the buttons at ipodlounge.com.
For now I'm just gonna stick with my 1gig mem stick since this won't come out for months minimum.

looking at team X's website seem's that the final version is going to be an extreme cutdown version used for just extra storage, such as usb hardrive and usb mem sticks a vast change from what there dev board can do they did hint at retailers being able to downgrade.
so it looks like joe public are going to get a nice addition for storage and retailers will get the whole shebang.
on another side of the coin WAB has released a intro named fucktro
with this line in the nfo im starting to hate that word now btw lol line below.
to sony:
Need someone to check your v2.0 firmware ?
this could be a hint at the latest .52 firmware being exploited possibly more news as it come's in on that subject.
