DS Wireless Gameplay via PC?

Just wondering if it would be possible to write an app for the PC that would allow wireless gameplay through the internet.

To further clarify, I mean non-WFC games that work wirelessly while your opponent is in the same room, but to use your computer as an intermediary to fool your DS into thinking that there is another DS nearby. Kind of like "Hamachi" for DS (for those who are familiar with the app.)

I don't think the DS would auth to a computer in the same way it does with another DS. And so I doubt it would be possible without ripping the actual game apart rather than running a homebrew wireless app.

I was wondering if there would ever be something like this. Long distance New Super Mario Bros would be awesome.

Someone was making something like this called DS Tunnel, but I think they might have given up on it. :(
