Download Play on DS....HELP PLEASE

Hi, i tried to play mario kart ds with my friend using download play, i hosted a game and he tried to download it but after a few minute's of downloading a communication error pops up and we cant play, is there a way to download play?
btw im using a g6.

I however am not going to sit here moaning to you to search, but please remember this for future reference ;)

I am assuming that neither you or your friend has got flashme installed.

Use your G6 to "flashme" your friends DS firmware, Its easy, simply flash his DS and all is good. :p

G6 + Cocktail stick + Tinfoil + screwdriver the size of battery cover.
This is all you need

Download flashme 8a (stealth keeps the health and warning screen), take the battery cover off, wrap the stick in tinfoil to make the TOOL, stick the g6 in your mates DS, hold the battery in place(MAKE SURE UNIT STAYS ON, Some people plug power supply in) run the flashme.nds follow the prompts and then when prompted to short the SL1 stick your TOOL into the hole to short SL1 watch as your DS flash gets to 100% if it stops just move the TOOL slightly around, not too sudden as you could touch something you DONT want to. BE SURE THAT IF YOU START THE PROCESS. YOU MUST get it to 100% and COMPLETE.

Just look for a guide on flashme. Its very simple to use and I have flashed a fair few now, I will advise you do all the above "virtually" before you actually turn the DS on, just so you have a good solid feel of the SL1 short :rolleyes:

It sounds over complicated but trust me its a piece of cake and won't take long at all. :p

Just a quicky, but if if a non modded ds with the orginal game hosts a game of mario kart, can a flash modded console join?

Yeah, you should be fine there. The thing to remember is that if flash carts are used, having the receiving DS flashed will increase the chance that Download Play will work. If the host DS is flashed, nothing will change.
