New Golden Sun is coming to DS!

We have received word from 'gobo_4227' that Golden Sun is indeed coming to the DS. He attended a press gathering shortly before E3 which had games on show that are not scheduled to be shown at E3. Camera's were not allowed at the event but he managed to take some decent pictures with his mobile phone. From the feedback he received, it seemed as if the title was almost complete!

More information on Golden Sun DS

- You control Felix
- The story seems like a continuation of 'The Lost Age' (although I only sampled a very small section)
- The story and text were the first things completed on the game as the developers wanted a strong story
- Touch screen controls (similar to Animal Crossing / Zelda DS)
- Touch screen psynergy
- pseudo-3D graphics (very similar look to the GBA games however some elements of 3D)

This was the only RPG besides the First 2 Paper Mario's that my friend's accually played all the way through.

Well im new here and this is my first post but that is a little suspicious. Look at the title screens of the first two and then look at that one. Notice anything different?

Maybe a font change which of course is aloud, but notice there is no copyright sign. But spending the whole time on story and history sounds like camelot so maybe they havn't got on to whole legiality thing yet. But there it is these no copyright sign.

This whole scenario seems a little fishy to me though. Why would they not want to show this off at E3?

There's only two explinations for this.

1.) It's fake. Plain and simple. Remember that april fools screenshot a few years back? Same sort of deal. Giveaways? Logo is too similiar to Lost Age. The Lost Age logo was totally different from the first one in every aspect except the part that says golden sun. The bottom is artwork from tla, and the background on the top screen is a portion of the world map artwork, both tinted red. Why would they use TLA art as a title screen? Another thing... Camelot is heavily rooted in Japan. Look at their website, they don't even have an english one. If any screens were leaked, odds are they would be in japanese, with the japanese logo, which is distinctly different.

2.) It's still under development. Like, heavy development. So much that all they could possibly show at this event was a whipped up title screen using art from the previous game. Less likely than it being a fake, but still possible.

Odds are about hmm... 5:1 that it's fake. Sorry guys, don't get your hopes up.

And for that picture, I've noticed it in the moment I saw that photo. Think about one thing - why would anyone want do make fake about 2 years from last Golden Sun game? It might, it might not, we'll see.

first... the last golden sun game was more than 4 years ago.

The only reason there were two to begin with was the story was too long and that much game couldn't fit in one pack so they decided to do the story in installments. They finished it, which is why it has taken so long for there to be a sequel.

And golden sun spawned a very large number of fansites and created a extremely large, tight knit online community for a single game, and it lasted for a couple of years. there are still lots of people who desperately want a golden sun 3, and know that there are others who want one. The reason someone would make a fake now, so long after is probably because camelot still has listed that they're working on an RPG for a next gen console (no further details), and e3 was nearing.

I've seen about 5 fake gs3 "leaks". i'd say this is about the second best, but they all have extremely obvious giveaways.

The thing people have to accept is that the odds of such a game are extremely slim. The team that made the first two games (not Camelot, we're talking actual people) officially disbanded a few years ago. So Camelot is indeed working on an RPG, most likely for a Nintendo console, either Wii or DS, but I doubt, as much as it pains me to say this, it will be a GS title. We have seen how good Camelot is at RPG's though, so regardless of that fact, another RPG from them is still a good thing to anticipate.

FINALLY GS IS COMING TO DS
most underrated RPG of all time in my imo. I played both and man it was the longest and prolly the most fun I ever had playin ANY rpg. Gawd if the graphics look at least as good as FFIII or better, it'll be the best rpg fer DS hands down. I know the story will no doubt be grt.
