Like the price, if similar in the U.K. it will be very competative against the ps3's madcatz thumb board but actually a better design.

not bad but why not just get a mini compact keyboard for cheaper tbh?
full features and like half the size.
plus it wont eat up your pad's battery juice.

Perfect price, same price of a Wired 360 controller. I wonder if it's just that though, or if it comes with a month of XBL.

Yep, but just like the idiots who would rather TXT on their phones rather than just call the person, it'll sell.

It's useful because people have more than one friend and people like to talk to multiple friends at once.

It's called being at work and not having the ability to talk on the phone all the time. You only type what you need to say and that is it. I do it quite frequently, does this make me an idiot too?
Some people just have preferences that differ from yours. Get used to it.
I agree is the sense of texting during online play is pointless, but to compare it to cell phones is just... well... dumb.

Yeah..but most likely it will be used with wireless gamepads, since most people probably have those. Yay for $80 controllers! Sorry Wiimote+nunchuk...you're #2 now at a mere $60.
I'd rather just have a keyboard in my lap. I mean, it's not like I'd be very skilled at using the analog sticks plus shoulder buttons at the same time I'm thumb-typing chat. Might as well drop it into my lap and type what I want to say on a proper keyboard, 4 times faster.
Yep, but just like the idiots who would rather TXT on their phones rather than just call the person, it'll sell. You text when you don't care if they are immediately available to read your message. It's like, "please read this soon, but at your leisure."
I can't wait to see someone use this monstrosity.

i'm interested to see if it would work with a modified windows driver to make the keys on the keyboard functional or bindable

You've never been to the city, have you? Rofl. People text constantly, at work or out to eat. It's annoying to constantly hear a text tone going off every 10 seconds. Obviously you are one of those who text a lot, sorry to touch a nerve. And I wasn't really comparing this to Cell Phones, I was comparing it to just using the built in Keyboard for the 360.

Still 50 bucks for the controller dude. If the keyboard came with the controller, then it'd be 80. ;)
