Is there any possible way to make .fds (famicom disk system) files run on an m3 Perfect? The only emulator I can find that does it is "hvca for GBA", but I can't make it work (it produces a .bin file that the m3 doesn't seem to recognize). I've been sitting on Doki Doki Panic and SMB2J forever, and I'd like to play them.

For HVCA, just rename the *.bin file to *.gba and see if it works (that works on my Flash2Advance Ultra cart at least). That's the only emulator I know of for the DS/GBA that has FDS compatibility, unfortunately.
However, for SMB2, you can find a copy of "Super Mario Bros 2 (J) [P1].nes" and use IPSWin to apply the IPS patch file from http://gbafan.pocketheaven.com/nes.html to get it to run in PocketNES (with additional level select ability). Note that this rom may also be improperly named "Mario and Luigi (SMB1 Hack) [a1].nes" if that's any easier to find.

Hmm... thanks for the info. I did try the name change trick already, but there are different options when creating the .bin file and I haven't tried renaming all of them yet, so that's what I'll try next. Otherwise, I'll look into the patch you mentioned; at least it will be something. Thanks!
