Could MS be preparing to unveil a new Xbox 360 SKU later on? Perhaps. Pictures of their E3 rehearsal reveal a fourth SKU in the form of a gray Xbox 360 which is placed opposite to the premium box. Some are speculating that this version may be an even lower priced version of the Xbox 360, while those more conservative will point to it being just a debug box.

Looks the aexact same as the premium. Even has a hdd on it.
Think it's just there's no light shining on it.

lol you see a new color and suddenly thers panic on a new sku lol. its probably just that color so they can tell them apart it could be running something while another has something else installed in the hdd to demo. or its just probably cosmetic since it looks nice to have a grey box. it would look add to have them all white then a black one at the end lol.

Development, Core, Premium, Elite

(from left to right)

but they all have HDDs for some reason. Also the elite is a larger step away from the first three than they are from each other.

all seem to have chrome bezel, you can see the light being reflected of it

Grey were way-old early 2nd round devkits -- can't imagine why they'd have out there sitting prominently on a pedestal.

While the thought of a new secret SKU is exciting, personally I'm with Galgor's take on it -- regular white unit in the shadows.

Precisely. Then again it could be some kind of replacement for the Core since that's where the rumors have been lately. They replace the Core with this new version of the Premium which has the 65 Nanometer Processor with the new cooling system.

from the article
With the Nintendo Wii showing no signs of slowing down (it outsold the Xbox 360 in May and is still nearly impossible to find at retail) and the PlayStation 3 about to put its underwhelming first year behind it with a plethora of new, enticing games, Microsoft's position as market leader in this new generation of video games is, as Moore may say, without guarantee.
I was at Best buy yesterday ans they had 4 Wii's.
PS3...I dont see any amazing games on it (that the 360 doesn't allready have).

MS will hold the top spot for all of 07', but in 08'....I think Nintendo will take the lead.....which is dumb, considering the hype of that F'ing super gamecube.

the 360 has to0ns of good games....my newest & funnest(?) game is FlatOut Ultimate Carnage...I recomend this game to everyone who likes a good ol arcade style racing games (not the really strict ones like Forza 2).

6 years ago, Gamecube was in the console race, last year, the Wii launched and jumped right out of the Console War when the majority of people buying it and continue buying it are casual gamers or people over their 50's.

I don't think the elite is farther away. All of the podiums are in a curve and the point-of-view makes it look like the elite is farther away.

Yeah, I watched MS keynote as well. Sadly no price cut.

They have 4 more days of announcement time. Just like Sony announcing their price cut early so they could get to their other stuff during E3, Microsoft probably didn't mention it so they could talk about games all week until the end by saying "Oh yeah, and the 360 is getting a price cut".
