Microsoft Japan has commented that it believes the Xbox 360 has very competitive pricing at the moment, but added the company would continue to assess market dynamics. A spokesperson also conceeded that MS did not know how many defective units had been sold in the region of Japan.

If that's the case then Microsoft Japan had better get their $h!t together. The X360 defective rate is out of control and quite frankly unacceptable. This generation of Xbox won't be profitable for Microsoft at this rate which is what they were hoping for.
