Howdy, if possible can anyone help me, ive got an original DS, am using a M3 Simply, latest firmware, i think. Just dl some comics for my son, converted them using Pictods, put them in SD Card, along with comicbook ds program, boot up, and go to comics, but it comes up (not support ext.CBD)??? Can anyone give me some help please, think i need to do something, but am at a lose.
Dont understand any of this DLDI, i think thats what i have to do, looked at thread on this, but it all looks confusing to me, can run games, music and movies not a problem, but cant get comics to work, any ideas?? Thanks
i am using moonshell 1.6, i have 1.7, with dldi, can i just replace moonshell folder 1.6 with 1.7, and leave ds mnshl nds??

Alright, there are a couple of misconceptions here that I hope I can clear up for you. Comic Book DS is not a plugin for Moonshell, so it won't let you view *.cbds files in Moonshell (though you can view many regular images through Moonshell natively). You must launch "ComicBookDS.nds" from the M3 Simply menu, which will then search your card for *.cbds files and let you choose among them.
However, DLDI is indeed very important to this. As it is, the Comic Book DS program has no idea how to talk to the filesystem of your card, so it can't retrieve the *.cbds books. DLDI is basically dynamic filesystem access code. You patch in the code for your specific device, which will allow it to talk to your filesystem. The recommended program for this is DLDIrc, which stands for "DLDI right click". Download and install it, choosing the M3 Simply DLDI file when prompted to choose a device (the R4 one will also work, as it's the same device). Then just right-click ComicBookDS.nds and select the new patching option that appears.
So patch ComicBookDS.nds and copy it to your card along with the converted *.cbds files. Launch ComicbookDS.nds from the M3 Simply menu, and the program will start and give you a listing of books to choose from.
