Xecuter CASES are DONE

according to Team Xtender they are done with the GC cases. So in the next few days I would really like to see pictures of the other colors, hear about prices, and hear about any other info about the cases.

Lookin totally spiffy! I can't wait till they come out. Price is no object for me as long as I know I'm getting the best case on the market. And to think, i was going to buy a hushcrap :P. One question though. The shiny label says "Do not open when reading". Does this mean the process of opening the case will touch the disc? Or just simply a precaution?

Haha, yeah. I'd probably get some thin, flexible plexiglass, cut it to that shape, lightly sand it to give it a snowy look, and glue it to that spot. It'll look much cooler in my opinion projecting the power led.

I can't tell too well from the pictures, but will this support all cubes? (Digital AV Out port, Power Board, Serial Port 2) And does it come with the covers for all the bottom expansion ports? I can't tell too well in the pictures.

These cases do look truly amazing. I was gonna buy a broken cube off of ebay that was in good condition so id have an extra case to mod but now i will definitley get this. The quality looks amazing. If i didnt know better I'd say nintendo made it themselves:) . But one quick question, does anyone know if the regular gamecube jewl will fit in plce of the depression on the top of these cases cause that would be perfect. If so I'll order one when i order one of these cases (since i have a dol-101). I cant wait til they are released.:D

After looking these pictures up and down, I can only see 1 problem. The input holes i guess you could call them. If I had the power to change anything, I'd have the back panel come 1 of 2 ways that you choose wherever you order it from. With a single hole for the regular composite out and the other with both holes (with a divider plastic between them. I find it kind of awkward to look at a spot not covered by plastic. Might just be me though. I'm a perfectionist.

I'm sure they took that into consideration, but decided that it was over all better to do what they did.

Besides, people don't constantly look at the back of their gamecubes:D

heh. cept me. Honestly, for some reason, my gamecube is always facing the tv. I may clean my room so it faces out like it should, but in a couple hours, it works its way back around. That's the only reason I thought of that.

I can't wait to get the clear xecutor case to match my crystal xbox. These things look like they are going to be the best on the market (and over $50). Too bad that you'll have to make your own led cover like ROFLMyWaffle said he will (I remember the mock up pics having one).

I just wonder why no group has thought of doing the controller faceplate yet. I mean, if I'm going to get a nice clear or colored case, why not get the controller faceplate to match?

And Xecuter says the price will be reasonable, I just hop[e I agree with their idea of reasonable, no more than 50 USD I hope. I would like 40 USD, then its totaly worth it.

I'm going to have to find different led's to swap out of my cube. I need something thats going to compound the color of the case. First off, I want to get a clear case. Anyone of the colors shown so far is good, as long as it's clear. What do you think a good color combo would be (ie Led's-Red, Case-Orange)? Looking for some suggestions that people would like to see.

hehe ohhh, wowwww, so many colors so hard to choose. enhh ennhh I can't make a decission. I have the solid purple now, and I was kinda hoping on solid black or smoky black with green leds, but theres just so many colors, and one have any cool combos of the new colored cases and leds.

These cases are finally up on Divineo.cn for preorder. The price is $39.95 for Xecuter's new "IcedCube" cases. Now all i have to do is decide to buy a text book for school or spend the money on this case.

I noticed that divineo added a link to www.icedcube.com at the bottom of the product pages, a website that doesnt exist. I wonder team xecuter is making a website or if divineo added it for the heck of it? I guess once the case gets an official release (the stores get it) we will know for sure.

heh, wow. When my chip came, I was too excited to wait to get a soldering iron. I actually did the first install with a butane lighter :D. I had to put it in a different cube though because I fried that one trying to tweak the laser.

The sticker package the ice cube case ships with looks like there is a sticker to cover up the parallel port for all the qoob owners. The other sticker looks too big to cover up the little usb plug. Now that I know that there is a chance that big whole can be covered, this case looks really attractive.

I know that divineo.com/ca ships from Quebec, but divineo.cn ships from china. You just have to pay a few dollars more for shipping.

I highly doubt that they do...

Maybe someone that has bought new philip head screws to replace the original ones could tell you the size of the screw, then you could just go to your local hardware store and purchase 4 new ones for less then $2.

Hmm, I should do that. What screws are you looking for? All of them or just the gamebit ones? If it's the gamebit's, I'll go down to lowes and find the size and junk about em. If I can't find out, I could probably send you my old ones. I saved all the screws from my old cube just in case :D. So I'll keep you posted.

As long as the holes are the same on the new cases, a Pan Head Phillips 4X3/4" should fit. (fits my original case)

Some people on teamxecuter's forums have the case and have posted pics, vids and comments. They say there are some issues with the bottom screws not fitting properly and the case catching on the disc when its screwed in too tight. Mine is on the way and should be here later this week I'll see for myself soon enough.

Realistically only one video has been posted (which is just some guy dissasembling and assembling a GC with music, nothing really informative) and only one user has posted a few images on the Xecuter forums. Even the comments have been very few and almost exclusively about the screws.

In the last days we worked hart to make a english translation off our Xecuter Gamecube Case test.
Now its done,and we have a german and english version of the Xecuter Gamecubecase Test Online!

i got it. i used just the top and back piece with my existing cube bottom. Even without using the bottom, screwing it in the top piece was pretty tough compared to the clear viper case, but the xecuter case does fit better. The clip that holds the qoob flasher was really nice so the usb port fits exactly the hole.

I used a nutdriver instead of a gamebit and screwed in so tight so that it would fit closely that I stripped the front 2 screws and now its stuck and I can't get it unscrewed and one of the screws hadn't joined to the top yet so that side sticks up a little higher. I guess now I'm screwed if I ever want to get the thing open again which i might have to so that i can adjust the pot. :(

i used the bic pen to unscrew what was left of the stripped screw and replaced it with a phillips head screw and screwed it in all the way and now it fits perfectly.

You should definately use a gamebit to protect your screws and make sure everything is aligned before you tighten all the way. I think it was so hard to screw in the first time because it wasn't aligned or something because the second time it screwed right in.
