Confirmed: Beautiful Katamari is exclusive to Xbox 360

Namco Bandai has announced their lineup of games scheduled for E3, and confirmed that Beautiful Katamari is to be an Xbox 360 exclusive. Further to this, the PS3 has lost ANOTHER exclusive in the form of Dynasty Warriors Gundam is the title is now going multi-platform. Other key titles scheduled to be on show include Namco Musem for DS and Wii, Soul Calibur Legands and Time Crisis 4 which is listed for PS3 only.

Ouch, bad news for Sony. I was really hoping to see a Katamari game for the Wii though, the controlls would actually work for that kind of game.

i cant see it being much of a blow at all, Beautiful Katamari looks to be a rehash of the previous 2 games with a few multiplayer games thrown in. No doubt it will be ignored by the majority of 360 owners anyway.

LOL I hate European Pricing for games, hence I import all my PS3 games, not a single one of them is PAL, 6 U.S Games and 3 Japanese Games

Anyways bak to subject, shame to see it be cancelled on PS3 but I won't miss out on this one coz i still have a 360 too.

Why is it every time the 360 gets another exclusive, it's Microsoft bought it away from everyone? :rolleyes: Never about how hard it is to make games for the Cell, which is why a lot of 3'rd party devs have decided to never make games for the PS3.

But I digress, it's not really that big of a deal, I just meant a blow to Sony in the sense that the PS3 owners who bought the console for the game which up until now has been Playstation Exclusive. I really hope the Wii gets a copy of some Katamari game, I'd actually buy another game for my Wii then.

Why in the hell should a Japanese developer decide to publish a typical game for Japanese exclusively on a console that's selling like sh!t in Japan? Publishers aren't silly fanboys, they invest piles of money in producing games: how much will the ROI (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Return_on_Investment) be for Katamari? Namco is shooting in its own leg here, isn't it?
From an economic point of view, the only explanation that seems reasonable for this weird situation is M$ backing Japanese developers in the shadow with billions and billions of Yen for their "craziness".

One of the finest games of the last 12 months (or so) was Viva Pinata and its sales were terrible, had it have come out on the the PS2 (taking into account the size of the market) sales would have been far better.
Katamari will only sell on the 360 if its very cheap and very hyped.

Yeah good and funny game, but for me the exclusive are the "great titles". (Devil May Cry 4 for example), in the end I believe that it si a game that it doesn't deserve to be held back.

I agree that Viva is an excellent game but if it was offered @ $40 as opposed to $60 it would probably have sold much better. Its not the typical 360 game and they should have been willing to risk selling it for less to attract a bigger audience. Plus it was a game geared towards a younger audience, eventhough anyone can get into it.

Never played Katamari except for the two minutes I tried to play it on my PSP and the controls were awful so I couldn't get into it. Analogs will make it more appealing but what I really want is an updaated REZ, get that **** out already.

I stated it was ignorant for a reason, because it's ignorant of someone to say that. Viva Pinata has actually sold pretty well, same with Kameo, C&C3, Dead Rising, Lost Planet, PGR, Forza... and I guess the only XBLA game is Doom then. ;) Ignorant? I'd say so.
