snes wii emulator controller issue?

Hi everyone I don't know what is the problem, I have a wii with a wiikey, all my backups work fine when when it comes to load the snes emulator from a bootable dvd I'm stuck on the first screen my gamecube controllers don't work at all I cannot access to the menu. I tried with snes 1.43,1.50 and 2.0

Two things.

Are the gamecube controllers in the far right ports not the far left?

Try running the Emulator using the GCOS program, tell me how it goes.
