A leading UK internet retailer has put up a page for visitors to register their interest in the Xbox 360 Elite. They say it is 'coming soon' and allow for gamers to provide their details in order to be notified of when the system is available for pre-order. The respective website has considerably SLASHED the retail price of the premium Xbox 360 to just under £230 instead of its usual £280 price tag!

Ohwell, my brother is going to be getting the XBOX 360 Elite when it comes to the UK, his one is falling apart lol so I then that way I can use something else for the Component Slot as I have 2 HDMI slots in my HDTV, one of them is occupied by my PLAYSTATION 3.

Good Price Slash, I'll be interested to see the price of the Elite in the UK

Wow, didn't ever to do the math, but U.K'ers were paying over $500 for just the premium? Dang!

Seen alot of these price reductions for the 360 in the U.K., online especially like this one from play. Very good time with competition in the market for good prices of consoles and games.

Saturn in Berlin: Xbox 360 Premium, 2 Wireless Controller, PGR3, Kameo, 3 months LIVE = 249 Euro.

Now that's a deal.

I'll wait until my original dies. My launch day jobbie is still going strong.:)

When it goes I may actualy just pick up a cheap core system.
Not too fussed about HDMI, got a monster VGA cable that does the trick with a 1:1 pixel map.

Got my 360 at amazon £260 + gears prey and lost planet + £40 for live + £30 for points cards + £10 for crackdown. Wasn't a bad deal but this sure is a better one. Microsoft probably need to justify the £100 gap between the new hdd/elite and told amazon to cut the price.

If there wasn't such a huge problem with hardware faults I would get one now

i see no reason for the elite in PAL region, we dont get any new additions to video market place so unless you want 120GB of demos your wasting your money, HDMI is nice in all but i've got component cables and thats good enough for me

According to me, some lackey in a BT call centre, MS are set to launch IPTV over here some time this Autumn so that HDD could come in useful. I like the colour as well... hmmm. The HDMI is pretty much pointless, I don't know a single person with an HDTV. Some have "HD-Ready" poor resolution LCDs because they're the "thing" to have at the moment.

Instead of paying £1000 I'll stick with my £50 CRT that runs 1080p via VGA perfectly :D

£230 for a premium 360... £425 for a PS3: Now that is a price difference.
