I put a Wiikey in my launch Wii with no problem. I am now doing a Wii with a D2B that the Wiikey site says it supports. But none of my games boot (only originals).
Is there a different soldering method or something for D2B chips or something else I may be missing? Thanks!

Recheck all your solder points and then try burning on some different media, don't know if you are using the same discs as with the first Wii. The points should be the same so you probably just made an error.

Thanks for the help. The problem was I was using a Japanese game to test it and didn't realize I had to re-run the setup utility to allow all regions. I figured since I already did that in my old Wii the settings remained!

If it was a clone WiiKey, you had to run it and save setting to initialize the WiiKey clone. It would not run original or backup Wii games until you do that, even though the setup disc works just fine. You say that it would run originals but not backups. Did you test that? I'm glad it's fixed, but I'm still curious to know if this is proably another example of the clone needing the setup disc and the user getting hung up on that step.
