The latest Amazon Japan best sellers chart has the pre-order version of Halo 3 sitting pretty at number one spot. This could be an indication that MS has a real console pusher in the form of Halo 3 for the region of Japan.

When did Halo become popular in Japan:confused: ... Maybe they recognized how pointless it is to play final fantasy and pokemon games is leveling up for hours and decided they wanted to play something fun.

I could be mistaken, but I believe that "Trusty Bell" (aka "Eternal Sonata") was #1 for a bit on Amazon Japan as well - a flash in the fire, then gone just as quickly. Then again, "Trusty Bell" is also headed for the PS3 eventually (at least, there's an ESRB rating for it on the PS3), so maybe that played into it as well.

Either way, we'll have to see. So far, there have been a few 360 titles that have hit the top charts in Japan, but they vanish just as quickly.

eh Amazons ranking lists are as concrete as what wall u see ppl looking mostly at in a gamestop. That list will fluxuate hundreds of times in an hour. but its nice to see the japanese are ateast buying halo wich i believe is mostly due to the fact Resitence sold well over there and opened the japanese to a genre other than cutsey rpg androgenous male characters with Double D cup sidekicks.
