Hi

I made a nice change to the current Wiifree source.
LCD support is now added. It doesnt do much yet except display that "WiiFree 2.50" is "loaded".
If ppl are enthusiastic about this, ill figure out what else is possible (or someone leeter than me).

Displaying stuff like 'Patching...' 'Booting Wii game' , when u actually are should be possible i think.
Im no expert so i dont know what info can be fetched from dvd drive ;o
Would be cool if we could read game title from it, and display it :>

Anyway here it is,
Schematics are all included!

I didnt post this on the real WiiFree forums (psx-scene.com) cause i dont have an account there
and they disabled registering :)

Why do you call this 2.50?
nothing changed to the actual code that does the patching, it's only 2.45 code with added LCD display code. Call it 2.45b, but not 2.50 pls.

Because of the added code you need more memory, there is nothing changed to the 2.45 patching code. If he had added Gamecube playback, only then it could be called 2.50, not now.

i don't really see a use for this. why would i want to read what game is in? i remember that or just look at the game i'm playing...
or that it's loading and stuff, i don't need some letters on lcd to read me...

nice idea but not very usefull is it?

It looks like the Wii is going to get moded like the xbox 1 did in the past.

that LCD might not be very usefull right now, but just wate and see what happens ;)

Hi ! I also want to build my own modchip now, I have already bougth all parts and soldered very much, but now I do have a problem:

I've bought a "PIC 16F628A" but I can't program it somehow. IC-Prog only says when I click on "Program all" : "Programming failed at Code address 0000h". Nothing more :-S The programmer is the JDM one after this tutorial. (http://www.janson-soft.de/pic/pic.htm) But as I was unsure if it has a problem, I bought another one (already soldered) at ebay which works.

Well I unchecked the option verify during and verify after programming and it seemed to work, but when I insert the chip :

a) the led's are not glowing
b) the display is off/shows nothing
c) only original games work

Any suggestions?
