Is thier another G Power point on the wiis dvd board? I have tried soldering numerous times to get the one on my board working again but to no avail. i had mine working but now its not so i assume it got lifted or something because i get no voltage coming through. so if any one knows any thing i can do to fix my problem that would be great. oh and i have the cyclowiz v2 and i had the launch date wii so its d2a chip not sure if that helps but if anyone needs more info just ask. Thanks

well...if you lifted the pad, then you'll have to solder to the ic leg

whoops. lol, ic, no trace xD.

well...if power point g i like b. then...you can also scrape it with an exacto knife until some copper is exposed, and solder to that. i've never done it, i was just told to do that when i lifted the pad off point b xD (see topic "pad came off").

OR, you can also just wait until someone more experienced replies :D

thanks for your reply yeah all the other points on the chip work and i did the quick solder so i didn't want to have to desolder the chip unless i had too. so ill wait untill i get another opinion before i take that action. but when i look a picture of a wii board before a mod chip it just shows the pad sitting by itself i would have no idea which way to start scraping even if i could

thanks for your post though

I have been reading that the G point is a ground (http://forums.maxconsole.net/archive/index.php/t-49172.html) and i tried to just jumping and still nothing so im pretty sure my problem is due to the chip not flashing properly. been reading alot on the cyclowiz forums and it sounds like people have been having trouble flashing the chip and some are getting new ones. (http://www.teamcyclops.com/forum/showthread.php?t=105) so i emailed them and am going to wait and see. oh and this all started when i tried to flash to 3b i just thought the g point was a power point and it should have had power but if its a ground then it shouldn't have power.
