Hi having had my wiikey for almost 2 months now without a problem, all of a sudden my backups are refusing to boot. They don't even get to picture on the main menu. Original discs work fine but none of my backups including the wiikey setup disc are booting up.
I'm hoping the guy in another thread who says turning the power off for a while will help but if anyone has any other tips i'd appreciate it!
Thanks

My best guesses:
1) your media is crap, no offense ~:-) Try burning a shiny fresh new backup on the same media you used for the others and see if it boots. If it boots, you should go looking for better media ....
2) if it does not boot then ... it's probaly time to open up the Wii and see if the soldering is still in place. Did you tap, drop or otherwise transport your Wii ?

What other media? ;)
If you have other media try that.
If not, try burning a new disc on your previous media, if it works, its a disc quality issue. Though it would be strange for all of them to "fail" at the same time.
Try new media. (If possible confirmed working in another wii).
If that fails, you have a problem on the soldering side, dry joint and whatnot.

Every backup doesnt work, they do work on another chipped console. I can't even boot to the wiikey disc. I put the disc in and it seems to stop spinning after about 5 seconds. As soon as I put an original disc in it is fine. My media are good tdk I have never had any problems with these discs before

So, either.
Bad install. Points 3-6 are dud. (Fail on 1 and 2 will cause more errors)
Dead wiikey. I've had a dead one not uncommon apparently from the sellers.
