Rainbow Six Vegas content to be back and free!

The Xbox Live Marketplace previously had some downloadable content available for Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas for purchase but then the content suddenly went walkabout. However, Ubisoft has announced it is coming back and it's coming back FREE. All players who payed to the content will be refunded within 8-10 weeks.

Is this the players pack red edition or whatever it was called? The one that cost like 800points and had a few new maps and game modes?

I dloaded it a while back and thought nothing of it, didnt realise it had disappeared?

i got the red pack,so is this the red pack coming back as the black pack or something,its a bit confusing.

anyways its a good map pack,just conquest sucks a bit.attack and defend on marsheeling yard and doscala were and still is great.

i am a colonel,no thats not leutenant colonel one up colonel.just got to work my way to elite then i am done and ranked to the max.

nice to see there are some r6vegas online people here.

i aint been on for a good week cos my internet was down for 2 days this week just gone and the line is busy with the pc.might go onlive for an hour later and see what is what if this pack is there but,like i said i bought the red pack.

i also noticed at first there were quite a few people who had this pack i am talking about that i got were using it and hosting games but,lately there dosnt seem to be as many match's as there used to be within them first couple of weeks from the new map pack being released.

hopefully this way there might be more matchs with diffferent maps cos more people will have access to them for nowt.

Ubi has send me the official word on the RSV Black Pack (which went MIA earlier this week) and it is good news:

‘Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas Black Pack Downloadable Content for Xbox 360 Live was originally intended to be free content for the fans of Rainbow Six Vegas. We apologize for the error. All players who purchased the Black Pack will be reimbursed automatically.* The Black Pack will be posted Saturday June 30th and will be free of charge. Also, as a token of our appreciation for the Rainbow Six community, we are making the Red Pack free as of Friday July 6th as well. Thanks for playing and we hope you enjoy this free content.’


Make sure your account information is up to date so we can properly apply the credit!

As I understand it the content should go out after 0300 PT.

Ubisoft amaze me

They do an excellent port of Rainbow Six VEGAS for PS3 which Ive ordered and offer the content available for the XBOX 360

Then those who bought the content for XBOX 360 get refunded!! Excellent stuff Ubisoft!!!

People say it like Ubi did something for charity, truth is Vegas is so stuffed with in-game advertising that map packs better be free forever until the next RS game.

Only advertising I saw was for AXE, and I thought that was a pisstake of Lynx until recently when I was informed it is actually the US version of Lynx and is infact a real advert. lol :o

just like a few maybe loads from maxconsole i went and bought the red pack.its cool.i just aint big on conquest and assassination.the maps fit in nicely with attack and defend.

basicly i will be gratefull if they reinburse all og us who bought the red pack,that would be great regardless of 8-10 weeks waiting.

also is it me or does r6vegas attack and defend seem to be not so busy like before?

as for in game advertising,walk out of the house whatever you live in and what do you see.go into a casino and what do you see.

i aint bothered,shooting and enjoying oneselves is what it is all about.just like the winning and loosing.
