I have 5 files with the extensions .000-.004, and they cannot be opened with winrar. There is also a file with the extension .dvd. I am not entirely sure how to burn these, never came across this before. The .dvd file itself is very small, 60kb, the other 4 files make up the 4.7 gigs for the most part. what am i supposed to do?

u gotta join the files w/ a program called H-Jsplit(google it) once u have it, click on .001 file and join them...u'll get one big file[kinda like w/ winrar], which will come out as the .iso file.

ok i did this, joined the files....and it created one large file...with no extension at all. cannot be opened in winrar or any other archiving software. do i just slap on a .iso extension to it and burn?

Actually, you can open these files with winrar. You have to make sure that they are associated with winrar first. By default, they are not. Right click on the .001 and choose 'open with' then choose program. Find winrar on the list and click the check box that says to always open with this program.

After you to this, all the .001 files (from this point on) with open with winrar.

Hope this helps.

There really should be a starting .rar file, but people seem to output in the .000 format. I find it best just to rename .0 to .r, .r00-.r19 is generally, already set to run with winrar, bit messy to start adding .000 and so on to the list. (You don't need them all though, just one)

Wrong - open the .dvd file in notepad and it should have a list of the numbered files there. Its like a cue sheet for burning in clonecd(5.2.9.1).

Wasn't this thread closed earlier?

It is the same ISO method as used with Xbox360 dumps. Simply open the .DVD file in CloneCD and burn away!
