You'll also need a flash cart (R4DS, M3 Simply are the best two).

Where do you plan to stick the microSD card? The DS slot? The microphone jack?
Like Pedro said, you need some sort of homebrew device in order to actually run homebrew files on your DS. Slot-1 devices like the R4 and M3 Simply will let you store music files on your microSD card and play them back using Moonshell.

Lmfao, you're right. I just wonder where he thinks he'd stick in the microSD card.

Once you get one of those i know the r4 comes with moonshell which'll let you play mp3s with it. Also videos but they have to be .dpg format

It seems you don't know Cyclo DS. It's a kind of adaptator you put in the old gameboy card slot. In this you can insert a micro SD.

So u need to mention you are using "something" to transfer data from microSD to NDS. :o .. It seems you don't know there are a LOT of adaptors out there, if you ask which one are u pretending to use, ( slot-1 or Slot-2 ) people can give a hint.

Okay, so you have the slot-2 CycloDS product. That's a start. Do you have a slot-1 NoPass device? If yes, then you can install Moonshell and play mp3 files directly off your card. If not, then you'll be limited to GBA mode, and the GBA is not powerful enough to decode mp3 files in real time, so you'll need to use something like GSM Player or Music Player Advance that uses a converted audio file.

Actually on my EZIV Lite Deluxe, I can install moonshell.gba 1.3 and works nice, I didn't know needs a Pass me to work, :) But i left that, and using the moonshell 1.7 from r4Ds, ebcause can read ogg files that are smaller on size ;)

Moonshell is a DS-side application, hence why you see both screens being used. Your system is probably flashed with FlashMe. Without FlashMe or a slot-1 NoPass device, the CycloDS will only function in GBA mode, which means Moonshell will not be an option.
