Go to this thread and download the package:
http://forums.maxconsole.net/showthread.php?t=64142

It will show you how to use the "Gecko SD and Action Replay <version that allows adding cheat codes>".
That is the best alternative to the Max Drive Pro, and works exactly the same.

Well, u could make an USB memory card by getting an SD-card reader with USB connector, and SD-card. Then connect wires from GC to SD-card reader to correct spots that connect to SD-card.
If it does'nt work, then just add a little switch that cuts some wire(i think 3.3v wire, not sure) in SD-card reader.
And it's nice if u can embed all in that tiny memory card :p
SD-card wiring schema and more:http://ngc.scorpei.com/GUIDE-SD_adapter.html

I was thinking something like this:

And since GC memory card is just a modified SD-card, it could maybe work as a SD card, so u could connect the memory card to an SD-card reader. That would save some money by not buying an SD-card :) But im not sure about does GC-memory card work straight as SD-card.

Best way i can think of.

All that sounds like a lot of work. Another alternative to the impossible-to-find Max Drive Pro is the EMS USB card. Not a cheat device, but you can upload saves to the net and modify save code if you have the knowhow..

you can get it directly from EMS at about half that price

Dude, just forget about the Max drive Pro, because, yes, you can't find them anywhere anyore. But you can have a USB memory card made by EMS. You can find them exactly here:

and here:

EMS USB memory? Almost same price than USB Gecko but without the additional great features as take screenshots, backup games, remote debugging, etc.

Check it here: http://shop.strato.com/epages/61488288.sf/seca_ws052Rogc/?ObjectPath=/Shops/61488288/Products/ngc_usbgecko

Yes, if you only care about transfer saves, EMS memory is better. Anyway, USB Gecko is also good to create custom saves and unofficial cheats thanks to its remote debugger. So it can also offer more related with the saves than EMS or others.

GCOS is backup disc launcher.
PSUL and PSOloader can launch .dol files, whick GCOS is too.

Dunno about USB Gekko.
